The 54-year-old screen queen captured an autumnal vibe, wearing an orange knit beanie and a pair of gleaming sunglasses.

She got a warm comment from Tom Hanks' longtime wife Rita Wilson who wrote:  'Happy Thanksgiving friend. Miss you!'

Julia and Tom have co-starred in multiple movies including the 2007 dark comedy Charlie Wilson's War directed by Mike Nichols from a script by Aaron Sorkin.

Earlier this year when Rita received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame her pal Julia was there to give a speech.

'I have been lucky enough to know her long enough to learn things that we have in common - devotion to our mothers, endless joy of our families, super hot husbands,' joked Julia, according to Us Weekly.

Julia herself has been married to her second husband, cinematographer Daniel Moder, since the Fourth Of July 2002.

In fact the last selfie Julia posted to her Instagram page before this Thanksgiving was on Independence Day to mark her wedding anniversary.

She took a snap with her man on the beach and posted it online writing: '19 years Just getting started! #conwings.'

The longtime couple are the proud parents of three children - 16-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus as well as 14-year-old Henry. 

Lately Julia has been in Australia filming her upcoming romantic comedy Ticket To Paradise which reunites her with her Ocean's Eleven co-star George Clooney.

Just two days before Thanksgiving the two leads were spotted on the Whitsunday Islands off of Queensland for the shoot.

Their castmates include Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd as well as Kaitlyn Dever, both of whom were previously in Olivia Wilde's high school comedy Booksmart.

George and Julia have co-starred in such films as his directorial debut Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind, as well as Money Monster helmed by Jodie Foster.
