MobLand season 2 is on the way
On Thursday, July 9, Paramount+ shared first-look photos and a teaser trailer for the second season of crime drama starring Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan

On Thursday, July 9, Paramount+ shared a first look at the second season of Guy Ritchie's crime drama starring Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.
The teaser trailer shows the Harrigans, played by Mirren and Brosnan, on a mission to save their criminal empire with the help of Harry Da Souza, played by Hardy. As clips of the Harrigans' bloody fight roll on, Da Souza says, "This hasn't exactly been a wonderful 24 hours for me, yeah? I'm under a lot of pressure."
"The people that I work for, the Harrigans, they run North London," he continues. "This family is on the brink of a civil war. Ripe for the picking."
Per an official synopsis, season 2 of MobLand will see "the Harrigans struggle to show a unified front as rising rivals threaten their fractured criminal empire and Harry Da Souza, their street-smart and formidable 'fixer,' must walk a dangerous tightrope when tensions within the family intensify."
"As violence spills into every corner of their lives, loyalties snap, safety proves temporary, and the battle for power leaves no room for mercy," the description continues.

Alongside Hardy, Brosnan and Mirren, the series also stars Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Teddie Allen and Emmett J. Scanlan. Also returning are Janet McTeer, Toby Jones and Alex Fine. Johnny Flynn, who plays Beast, and Ophelia Lovibond, who plays Minx, will be series regulars during season 2.
The season 2 teaser comes after multiple outlets, including Deadline and Variety, reported in May that Hardy wouldn't return for the show's potential third season, with outlets citing alleged tension behind the scenes. Variety later reported that Hardy was not fired from the show. Reps for Hardy, Paramount and 101 Studios did not respond to PEOPLE's requests for comment at the time.
Days later, Mirren publicly supported her costar by sharing an image of him to Instagram, alongside the message: "Love you now and always."
In April 2025, Hardy, 43, told Parade that working with Brosnan, 73, and Mirren, 80, was "wonderful" and that he "always admired" their work. "To be able to watch them do something I think they're brilliant in and to be part of that experience is fantastic," he said. "They're great, brilliant actors. Super talented, and they've done so much great work. It's an absolute joy to be able to work with Pierce and Helen."
In her August 2025 PEOPLE cover story, Mirren spoke of her working relationship with Brosnan, saying she would "pay a lot of money to work with [him] for the rest of my life."
"We just mirror each other in our attitude to enjoying our work, being serious about our work, committed to our work, but at the same time, not allowing the work to sort of overwhelm everything in your life. He's a very special person, Pierce," she said.
"He was the most wonderful revelation to me," she added.
The first season of MobLand is available to stream on Paramount+. Season 2 premieres globally on Friday, Sept. 18 on Paramount+.
