Gospel musician and minister, Paul Wambantem, popularly known as the “Gospel Rockstar” and “Lion Singer,” is set to mark a major milestone in his ministry with the 10th edition of his annual Azusa Praise concert.

The celebration, scheduled for Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Disciples of Christ Ministries, Weija Junction, off the Accra-Kasoa Road, will bring together gospel musicians and ministers for an afternoon of praise and worship.

This year’s event, which begins at 3 p.m., is themed, “Jericho Wall Must Fall,” taken from Joshua 6:20.

With the theme “Jericho Wall Must Fall,” the event is expected to focus on overcoming barriers and trusting God for breakthroughs, drawing inspiration from the biblical account of the fall of the walls of Jericho.

The anniversary edition features a line-up of gospel ministers including ACP Kofi Sarpong, Jack Alolome, Oheneba Clement, Richard Hagan, Ohemaa Boateng, Rev. Mrs. Esther Baidoo, Apostle Lilian Kumah Aryeequaye, Empress Gifty, Cecilia Marfo, Emelia Arfo, Serwaa Ophelia, Grace Ashley and Georgia Adjei.

“This 10th edition represents more than a concert milestone. It also celebrates over a decade of active involvement in gospel music and ministry, during which I have developed a reputation for energetic performances and a distinctive approach to worship,” he told Graphic Showbiz on Monday, August 3. 

Known for his high-energy stage presence, the Gospel Rockstar has carved a niche by combining spirited musical performances with worship and ministry.
