The current exhibition is scheduled to continue for three months after which the space will be used for other events.
"This is just a small part of my collection and we plan to do three or four events in a year," says Kiran, who has nearly 300 works in her possession.
"Museum culture is very limited in India especially in the modern and contemporary space and it is good to have more museums as there will be more visibility and people can see and appreciate more art," says KNMA director Roobina Karode.
Rajeev Sarana, who is a member of museum boards abroad, says, "Having seen some finest collections abroad it is a joy to see such an unprecedented step in India. Museum space is limited in the country and to put in in the private
domain is a challenge. It would encourage other collectors to showcase their works."
The KNMA, which hopes to cater to the HCL employees and their families at their campus in Noida is expected to move to a bigger space of 80,000 feet soon.
"We have 22,000 members at the campus and I believe this is a huge opportunity to reach out to a middle class with no exposure to art," says Kiran adding that entry to the museum is free.
