A taxi cab driver was on Thursday night killed in a car crash at Sefwi-Anhwiaso near Bibiani in the Western Region.
Mr. Wisdom Coffie died on the spot, when he drove his KIA Pride with registration number AS 6559 Y into an articulated truck.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Francis Enor, Bibiani Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the accident occurred at about 2000 hours on the Bibiani-Awaso road.
Coffie, who was joining the highway from a branch road failed to stop and run his car into the truck.
He said the taxi had no passenger.
The truck driver, Usmanu Ibrahim, is being held by the police to assist investigations.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased had been deposited at the Bibiani Government Hospital.
