Reverend Bernard Sallah, Senior Pastor of the Adenta branch of the Action Chapel International, has called on politicians to be tolerant and promote peace for national development.
He advised politicians to take steps to solve the socio-economic problems confronting the country and to prevent violence and anarchy.
Rev Sallah made the call at the opening of a 28-day Fasting and Prayer Festival at Adenta, near Accra on Saturday.
The event which under the theme: "Divine Intervention", aimed at strengthening the spiritual wellbeing of participants and bringing them together to pray for the prosperity of the nation.
Rev. Sallah asked Ghanaians to acknowledge the will and Sovereignty of God and commended them for promoting and sustaining democratic rule.
He advised pastors to intensify the propagation of the word of God to win more souls for the Church and to lead unblemished lifestyles.
The Senior Pastor advised the youth to desist from 'get-rich-quick' attitude and abide by the word of God to help them to achieve their goals.
