The Asante-Mampong Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Daniel Appau Ohyeamang, has urged heads of departments of the assembly to remain non-partisan in the performance of their duties.
He said they should ensure high levels of professionalism and refuse to allow political considerations to influence their decisions and actions.
Mr Ohyeamang said they should instead place their competencies and technical expertise at the disposal of the assembly to fast-track the
development of the area.
He was addressing a meeting to discuss projects and programmes the various departments had planned for the year.
He said they should work in unity and desist from acts that could clip growth and progress of the municipality.
Mr James K. Appau, Finance Officer, said the assembly collected a total revenue of GH¢1,314,232.00 out of the targeted GH¢1, 179,388.00, last year.
Out of this year's projected revenue of GH¢1,517.450.00, they had collected GH¢342,840.00, as of the end of March.
Mr Michael O. Kwakye, Disease Control officer, told the meeting that medical officers and mid-wives in the municipality were receiving training on comprehensive abortion care.
This is to help prevent unsafe and criminal abortions and check deaths through unwanted pregnancies.
Nana Otuo Acheampong, Education Director, reported that all was going smoothly with the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
He said 11 out of the 1,876 registered candidates were not present for the examination.
Mr Solomon Aseidu, Municipal Coordinating Director, urged them to work hard, be disciplined and punctual.
