Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning is leading a Ghanaian delegation to the IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings, scheduled for April 22 to April 30 in Washington D. C.
The delegation is made up of officials from the Bank of Ghana, including the Governor, Mr. Kwesi B. Amissah Arthur and personnel from the
Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MOFEP).
A statement by the Public Relations Unit of MOFEP issued in Accra on Thursday said while in Washington, the delegation would meet the Management of the IMF and the World Bank to discuss recent economic developments in Ghana, as well as areas where the two institutions could facilitate Ghana's development agenda.
The delegation would also participate in the G-24 Ministerial Meetings, Forum for Senior Policy Makers on Macro Fiscal issues, Water and Sanitation, African Caucus Meeting, Forum on Public Private Partnerships, the Africa Infrastructure Conference, as well as the International Monetary and Financial Committee and the Development Committee meetings.
The delegation is also scheduled to hold meetings with the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the International Finance Corporation and the
Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency.
The IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings are held annually by the Governors of the Bretton Woods Institutions.
