President John Evans Atta Mills in consultation with Council of State has nominated Mr David Adom as the new Administrator of District Assemblies Common Fund (DCAF).
Mr Adom, former Commissioner of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) succeeds Mr Joshua Magnus Nicol, whose tenure of office has ended.
Mrs Joyce Bamford-Addo, Speaker of Parliament, on Wednesday conveyed the message from President Mills to Parliament at the opening session of its
second meeting for the year.
The session, which commenced on Wednesday, May 26, would end on July 23, after a 10-week period.
She said the nomination was subject to vetting and referred it to the Parliamentary Appointment Committee.
Mrs Bamford-Addo commended members for their commitment to the business of the House especially the recent emergency sittings.
She announced that renovation works and re-roofing of the chamber was on-going.
Mrs Bamford-Addo noted that much was expected from members and urged them to speed up with business in the House and wished them a fruitful
deliberation.
A nine-member delegation from Zambia visited the House.
