A woman was killed and 54 others injured when a bus carrying Indian pilgrims returning from the Pashupatinath temple overturned in southern Nepal Saturday.
The bus which was on its way to Karnataka state in south India from Kathmandu met with the accident at Baunned Danda in Nawalparasi district, according to the police.
The ill-fated Indian bus overturned after its brakes lost control, they said.
The injured passengers were admitted to local health posts at Daunne and Butawal.
There were altogether 55 pilgrims in the bus.
The deceased woman is yet to be identified, they said.
