Passengers of an Air India Express Abu Dhabi Muscat-Kochi flight refused to disembark for nearly two hours at the airport here on Monday protesting against over 30 hours delay in its arrival.
The flight, with 186 passengers and six crew, was to have arrived here at 6.30 AM Sunday. However, after take off from Abu Dhabi, it developed a technical fault.
Airline sources said the delay was due to the fault being rectified at Muscat.
Irked passengers sat inside the aircraft for nearly two hours and finally disembarked at 9.30 PM here Monday.
They demanded that the airline compensate them and that the airport management accept their complaint.
Air India sources said the flight would soon leave for its onward journey on Doha-Bahrain sector.
