A 33-year-old unemployed has been remanded into prison custody by a Kumasi Circuit Court for possessing a large quantity of cannabis.
Yakubu Mumuni Moshie's plea was not taken and would re-appear on August 20.
Samples of the leaves had been sent to the police forensic laboratory in Accra for examination.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Doris Amewu told the Court presided over by Mr Justice D.W. P Amedior that the accused was arrested on July 28 at Nkawie by personnel of police Drug Enforcement Unit.
This followed a tip off.
Yakubu was caught with a polythene bag containing the dried leaves and mentioned one Akwasi as the source of supply.
He could however not assist the police to trace the said Akwasi.
