The Central Regional Minister, Mad Benyiwa Doe, has commended the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District Assembly for its impressive performance in improving its Internal Generation Funds (IGF) and efforts at undertaking more projects.
She said the Assembly has therefore qualified for 467,669.12 Ghana cedis District Development Fund from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural
Development.
Mrs Benyiwa Doe said this when she inaugurated a three-unit pre-school block, office and store with two urinals and four-Seater KVIP toilet worth
48,109.39 Ghana cedis constructed under the community Base Rural Development Project (CBRDP) at Breman Essiam.
She appealed to the Assembly to continue to improve their IGF to enable them get enough funds to support development projects.
The Regional Minister urged women in the area to contest the coming District Assembly elections to become Assembly Members.
She appealed to chiefs in the area to ensure that their people participate fully in the coming census exercise to enable the government get
correct data of the district.
The District Chief Executive for the area, Mr Peter Light Koomson, said the government would continue to provide the people with infrastructure.
Odeefuo Afankwa III, Paramount chief of Breman Essiam Traditional Area who chaired the function, thanked the Assembly for the construction of the pre-school block.
