Right Reverend Dr Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, Anglican Bishop of Kumasi, has appealed to the clergy to provide leadership to unite society and soothe strained relations.
He said they should encourage the people to be more accommodating of each other and avoid unnecessary tension and acrimony.
He was performing an ordination service for three new deacons at the Ashanti New Town Saint Anne Anglican Church in Kumasi.
They are Rev Nana Akwasi Kessie, Rev Moses Mensah and Rev Richard Boateng.
Venerable Elvis Kwame Acheampong, in a sermon, said, their calling was a difficult task and urged them to seek God's direction and guidance in order to accomplish their mission.
He said, they should accept the discipline of the church and give respect to those in authority so as to sustain the fundamental principles of the church.
