Two security officers of Krugger Brent Security
Company have been granted 3000 Ghana cedis bail each with one surety for siphoning 48 gallons of diesel valued at 254.88 Ghana cedis from Ghana
Manganese Company (GMC).
They pleaded not guilty and will re-appear before court on December 2.
They are Nicolas Ahorsu, a security guard and Twumasi Ankrah, a security supervisor while the third accomplice, Ayebi Mensah, a driver, is
on the run.
Prosecuting, Police Detective Osar Amponsah, told the Tarkwa Circuit Court presided over by Mr Samuel Obeng-Diawuo, that on November 14, at
around 1800 hours, Nicolas was on duty at "MobileTiole" where GMC dumper trucks were packed.
He said just 30 minutes later the complainant Alfred Kwoffie, had information that Nicolas who on duty was rather siphoning fuel from the dumper trucks.
Inspector Amponsah said on reaching the scene, Nicolas was caught in the act and sensing danger, abandoned his duty post the booty and fled.
He was however arrested the following day and sent to the police with six jerry cans and mentioned Ayebi as his accomplice.
