The General Secretary of the Brotherhood Church, Bishop James Yaw Ahenkora, has admonished Christians to ensure peace and love in their homes and communities as they celebrate Christmas, the birth of Christ.
He said the birth of Christ was to bring love, joy, unity and reconciliation to all people and that any attitude short of this would mar the value and the essence of the festivity.
Bishop Ahenkora was preaching at a Christmas Church service at South Suntreso in Kumasi on Sunday.
He said Christians have every cause to celebrate the event because ?the savior, who is Christ the Lord, is born and has come to redeem them of their He said this alone was enough and not the food and the drink they would have in abundance during the celebration.
The General Secretary said Christians should endeavour to avoid double standards and to remain in Christ no matter the situation in worshipping God.
They must also educate their children to seek the lord as a shining star in their life.
Bishop Ahenkora called on the congregation to focus their attention on the study of the Holy Scriptures and try to understand it to enhance their spiritual and physical growth.
