Mrs Elizabeth Anima Appiah, Director of Pharmacy, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), has advised Ghanaians not to allow the daily stress of life to pre-occupy them for the improvement of their health.
She said people should be content with the little they have and pointed out that negative thoughts, fear, anxiety, greed, anger and bitterness are toxic to the body.
She was speaking at the launch of her book “In Daily Doses-The Divine Medicines”, at the Golden Tulip in Kumasi.
The 49-page book has five chapters, which deals with “Steps to Good Health”, “Divine Medicines and Pharmacopoeia”, “The Main Source of God’s Medicines” and “Testimony of God’s work in me”.
Mrs Appiah said people should commit themselves to the principle of positive thinking and to be optimistic about life despite the socio-economic challenges to help to increase their lifespan.
“In my so many years experience as a pharmacist, I have come to the realization and observation that people who are always happy live longer and also tend to give positive therapeutic outcomes in the healing process when they get sick.”
Mrs Appiah reminded people that “the Word of God is the daily doses of medicines we need to sustain our spiritual lives, which have a direct bearing on our physical health.”
Reverend Charles Amoh of the Lighthouse Chapel International, said he was confident the book would serve as a source of motivation and inspiration to readers for the betterment of their lives.
