The second consignment of flood relief despatched by the Indian government has arrived in Sri Lanka Tuesday, Indian officials said.
"An Indian airforce aircraft arrived with the second consignment of about 30 tonnes", said a release from the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka.
It contains dry rations, ready-to-eat meals, milk powder, mattresses and water purification tablets.
The floods which affected over a million people in some 11 districts in the island have now receded.
The Sri Lankan flood relief appeal was met with urgent responses from India, the United States and the European Union.
The United Nations is to send its Assistant Secretary for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator Catherine Bragg who is due to arrive in Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
