Three people were killed and 14 others wounded in bomb attacks in Baghdad on Thursday, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.
A roadside bomb went off near a police patrol in Mu'askar al- Rasheed street in Baghdad's central district of Karrada, killing a civilian and wounding seven people, the source said on condition of anonymity.
Three policemen were among the wounded by the blast which also damaged a police vehicle, the source said.
In a separate incident, a roadside bomb detonated near a convoy of vehicles belonging to the Iraqi ministry of finance while passing a crossroads in al-Waziriyah neighborhood in north Baghdad, killing a bystander and wounding four others, the source added.
A third roadside bomb exploded near the old site of the defense ministry in Bab al-Mu'adhem area in downtown Baghdad, killing a civilian and wounding three others, he said.
Violence and sporadic high-profile bomb attacks continue in the Iraqi cities despite the dramatic decrease of violence over the last three years.
