Mr Reuben Jefferson Ocansey, Assemblyman-elect for Homowo Electoral Area in Tema New Town, has listed a number of priority development needs for the locality, which spans health and other social amenities.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview, he appealed to the Ministry of Health to provide the Manhean Health Centre with adequate staff and logistics, to cater for the people comprising mainly of the fishing community.
Mr Ocansey however commended the medical authorities for giving of their best despite the constraints they face.
He also asked the Management of Tema Harbour to dredge the Chemu Lagoon which was engulfed with waste.
Mr Ocansey expressed the need for the road linking Chemu to Tema New Town to be tarred to ensure smooth transportation of goods and services.
He said it was also of essence for the Metropolitan authorities to expand the Chemu bridge to withstand the volume of water that flows through it during a downpour, which rendered it impassable.
