A rainstorm has ripped-off the roofs of six buildings at Ahyiayem, a farming community in Nkoranza South District displacing 120 children in a day care centre.
About 60 residents are also displaced as the rains affected also health centre and four other houses.
Mr Evans Osei-Worae, Nkoranza South District Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nkoranza on Monday that the rainstorm destroyed properties worth several thousands of Ghana Cedis.
He said the incident had been reported to the regional office of the organisation for the necessary assistance to be given to the victims.
