The Ghana Tourist Board on Monday, presented chocolates to Father’s Home Care Orphanage at Butumagyebu, near Sekondi, as part of activities marking this year’s Chocolate Day celebrations.
The presentation was made by the Western Regional Chief Resource Officer of the Board, Mr. Michael Kpingbi, who encouraged the children to patronize chocolates and other cocoa products.
He said the Board would continue showing love to them, especially during such occasions and urged them to take their studies seriously to become responsible adults in future.
The Founder of the Father’s Home Care Orphanage, Mr. Francis Kwaku Jackson, on behalf of the orphanage, expressed his profound gratitude to the Board and appealed to other corporate organizations in the country to come to their aid.
He said the orphanage has 31 children comprising 16 boys and 15 girls and was providing assistant to children who are victims of neglect, divorce and in need of care and protection, towards the achievement of their God given talents and self fulfillment.
