Madam Jane Amerley Oku, the Chief Executive Officer of Janok Foundation, has held an interaction with pupils of Lartebiokorshie ‘2’ and Da-awatul Islamic schools on the importance of hand washing.
The exercise formed part of the Global Handwashing Day, which is celebrated annually on October 15 around the world. It is a day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding on the importance of handwashing with soap as an easy, effective and affordable way to prevent diseases.
Madam Oku urged the children to wash their hands with soap and under running water whenever they are going to eat and should make it a habit to wash their hand after playing or visiting the toilet.
