This followed a directive from the Ministry of Roads and Highway to create access and provide security to those communities, Mr Selorm Tettey Dartey, an Engineer at DUR office in Ho said at a Heads of Department meeting in Ho.

The Zongo communities to benefit from the projects are Ho, Hohoe, Krachi West, Krachi East, Nkwanta South and Krachi Nchumuru.

He said the projects would be funded by the Zongo Development Fund and that cost estimates and line diagrams of proposed upgrading and projects had been submitted to DUR Head Office for further action.

Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, Volta Regional Minister, called on the heads to ensure fiscal discipline in project execution, ensuring value for money.

He said Auditor’s report on the Region was worrying and charged the Heads of Departments to rise to the occasion.

Mr Felix B. Chaahaah, Chief Director, Volta Regional Coordinating Council, reminded the Heads of their 2018 performance contract and asked them to be regular at the Heads of Department meetings to discuss challenges confronting their offices to spur development of the Region.
