Mr. Leo Nelson Adzidogah, the District Chief Executive ( DCE ) and the Parliamentary Candidate for the NPP in the Constituency told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the donation was done to "uphold the teachings of the Holy Prophet Mohammed on the Holy month of Ramadan on the practice of self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate, thus encouraging actions of generosity and compulsory charity."
He urged Muslims in the District to strictly adhere to all safety protocols and directives from the Government and the Health Ministry.
Some beneficiaries the GNA interacted with, expressed utmost joy for the gesture from the NPP.
