Mr Maiga’s groundbreaking research titled “Muslim Wom­en’s Rights in Africa: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives” provides an in-depth analysis of the evolution and current status of Muslim women’s rights across the African continent.

RIU Edu-USA made the an­nouncement in a statement issued to congratulate Mr Maiga on his achievements.

Supervised by Professor Basima Abdul Rahman, Mr Maiga’s thesis explores the trajectory of Muslim women’s rights from pre-colonial times through the colonial era to the present day, offering a rich tapestry of narratives and critical insights into how these rights are interpreted, practiced, and chal­lenged in diverse African contexts.
