The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a public announcement urging passport applicants to verify their contact details after a significant number of passports remained undelivered due to incorrect addresses and phone numbers.

In a statement released today, the Ministry disclosed that courier services contracted to deliver passports returned the documents to Passport Application Centres (PACs) after failing to reach applicants within 21 days. 

The primary reason cited was inaccurate information provided during the application process.

“...Passport applicants who have not received any notification on the delivery of their passports are to contact the PACs where their biometric details were captured to arrange for collection or call the Passport Client Service Unit on 0302 754 200 for assistance,” the Ministry stated.

The Ministry further encouraged the public to ensure accuracy in their applications to avoid delays, emphasising the need for collaboration to streamline passport issuance.
