The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 13 new cases of Mpox, bringing the country’s total number of recorded infections to 993 as of January 25, 2026.
According to the latest update, no new deaths have been recorded. The total number of fatalities linked to the disease remains seven, while there are currently no patients on admission.
The GHS is urging the public to remain vigilant and take preventive measures to limit the spread of the infection. The Service emphasised the importance of maintaining good personal hygiene and promptly reporting suspected symptoms.
Common symptoms of Mpox include fever, rash, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, and tiredness. Health authorities are advising individuals who experience any of these symptoms to report immediately to the nearest health facility for assessment and early treatment.
