The Ashanti-Denkyira branch of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall Council and Court, a Catholic Friendly Society, has donated items worth GH¢1,000 to the flood victims in the three Northern Regions in Kumasi.
The items included used shoes and clothing, bags of rice, toilet rolls and bed sheets.
Presenting the items at a short ceremony, Worthy Brother Mr J.E Acheampong, Regional Grand Knight said the donation was the society's widow's mite towards the upkeep and maintenance of the victims.
He said since their motto is "unity, charity and service" they were touched by the ordeal that the victims had gone through, hence the donation.
Mr Kwaku Nimo, an employee at the Ashanti Regional Secretariat of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) received the items.
He thanked the donors for their gesture and assured them that the items would be distributed to the flood victims to alleviate their suffering.
