World Health Organisation (WHO) in collaboration with Ministry of Health (MOH) is assisting 20 Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges (NMTCs) in the country medical teaching aids to facilitate academic work.
They included adult female doll, a model female pelvis, birth simulator and a placenta.
Dr Joaquim Saweka, WHO Representative to Ghana, announced this when presenting some of the teaching aids to the NMTC in Kumasi on Wednesday.
He said similar teaching aids had been presented to Korle-Bu NMTC, Cape Coast NMTC, Effia-Nkwanta NMTC and Asante-Mampong NMTC and other beneficiary institutions were expected to receive theirs soon.
Dr Saweka asked nurses to strive to uphold the code of ethics of the nursing profession to enhance quality health care delivery in the country.
Mrs Grace Asomaning, Principal of Kumasi NMTC, commended WHO for the gesture and said the items would be put to good use.
