Mr Daniel Okrah, a teacher of the Presbyterian Junior High School in the Techiman Municipality has called on Christians to let their unity go beyond religious and ethnic boundaries.
This, he said, would prevent politicians and their followers from using ethnic and religious sentiments to campaign for votes, especially in the up-coming general elections.
Mr Okrah made the call at a sermon themed: "Unity in Diversity" at the annual celebration of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Men's Ministry at Techiman which coincided with the inauguration of a 14-member Singing Band.
Mr Okrah advised the Christians not to harbour negativities, but rather allowed the wisdom and the spirit of God to operate in their lives.
He said they should have diversified minds as the elections drew nigh in order not to inflame passions that would lead to antagonistic and hatred with their fellow brothers and sisters.
"Failure for Christians to unite people would pave way for the enemy to devour us as Christians and the nation as a whole, Mr Okrah stressed.
Mr Ransford Aboakye of the Men's Ministry sharing a goodwill message called for member's support towards the construction of a GH¢5,500 Men's Centre at Doryunu in the Dangbwe West district.
He announced that, the 50th anniversary of the Men's Ministry had been slated in October this year.
Mr Aboakye appealed to members to join the Ministry to contribute their quota towards its development.
Mrs Vida Ofosu Tabir, Catechist of the Church who inaugurated the Singing Band, underscored the importance of music and how it could be used to transform lives.
The 14-Member Singing Band had Madam Margaret Adom-Ameyaa as its President, Madam Georgia Ahwirem, Vice President and Mr Isaac Tetteh as Secretary.
A fund-raising event, yielded GH¢3,192.
