The Kade Magistrate's court has remanded Fuseini Issaka, a labourer in prison custody for allegedly causing damage to soft drinks and alcoholic beverages estimated at 7.70 Ghana Cedis.
He pleaded guilty and would re-appear on September 29.
Police Inspector T.D. Nartey, prosecuting, told the court that the complainant Ataa Panin, a farmer and operator of a drinking bar at Boadua, reported to the police that on the night of April 5, this year, Issaka came to his bar and bought two sticks of cigarettes and a box of matches at a cost of 15Gp.
He said Issaka gave the complainant one Ghana Cedis and expected a change of 85Gp but the complainant reminded him of an old debt of 45Gp of drinks and cigarettes that Issaka credited from him and gave him 40Gp as his change.
The prosecutor said Issaka who became angry attacked the complainant demanding his change and in the process some crates of soft drinks and a gallon of akpeteshi were destroyed.
He said Issaka was arrested and after investigations charged with the offence.
