Ghana's border with Togo would be closed from midnight Friday December 5 2008 till 0600 hours Monday December 8, 2008 in the interest of national security.
A statement Dr Sam G. Ammo signed on Friday and issued through the Ghana News Agency said to this effect security forces had already been despatched to patrol the border areas to ensure national security.
