The Ghana Pentecostal Council, Tarkwa, on Sunday held a post-election thanksgiving service at the Central Pentecost Church at Tarkwa.
It was under the theme: 'Pre and Post Elections in Ghana: Christian Perspective and the Plans of God'.
Delivering the sermon Apostle Dr Offosu Asante, Tarkwa Area Head, Christ Apostolic Church, recalled that prior to Election 2008 there were speculations that there was going to be an electoral fraud and the people were not going to accept the results.
He said no nation was totally free, adding that there could have been miscreants, who wanted to cause confusion but that the God fearing ones managed to discourage them.
He said the elections were generally peaceful and the results were accepted, adding that it was the hand of God that was at work.
Apostle Dr Asante tasked Christians to pray until an enemy like poverty was conquered and Ghanaians to change their attitude and respect authorities and above all pray consistently to block the chances of the devil.
