Mr Gregory Amenuvegbe, Volta Regional HIV/AIDS Coordinator, on Wednesday commended police recruits at the Volta Regional Police Training School for their moral uprightness.
He noted that the personnel who tested HIV negative before recruitment were able to maintain the status after their training.
Mr Amenuvegbe in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Ho said "this is a shining example for all professionals who by the nature of their work face risks related to sexual immorality."
He encouraged the recruits to assist in the fight against HIV/AIDS wherever they might be posted to work.
Mr. Amenuvegbe advised the public to avoid indiscriminate sex and to support the campaign against disease.
