Christians have been implored not to discriminate against other religions, but should extend love to all irrespective of their religious affiliations.
Reverend Joseph Yaw Ntiamoah, General Secretary of the Messiah International Bible Church (MIBC) who made the call on Palm Sunday in Tema, said it was the responsibility of Christians to propagate Jesus Christ's universal love.
Rev Ntiamoah noted that it was unfortunate that even though some Christians profess the love of Christ, they fail to exhibit it.
Members of the church including children holding palm fronds and flowers sang and danced as well as shouted hosanna in commemoration of the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.
Preaching on the topic, "Jesus the sacrificial lamb for all", he said Palm Sunday marked the beginning of the love Christ showed to everyone.
He further said just as people with different religious background welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem irrespective of whom he was Christians must see others in like manner and be kind to them.
Rev Ntiamoah urged the public to use the Easter festivities to preach peace within their neighbourhoods as Christ's death has brought eternal peace to mankind.
He said Ghanaians must cherish and maintain the peace in the country by tolerating the views of others irrespective of their political, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
