The Mighty Chapel International on Sunday donated assorted items to the Osu Children's Home which the Home acknowledged as the largest donation to be received this year.
The items, which were individual contributions from the members of the church, were estimated at GH¢ 7,500.00.
They included bags of rice, sugar, cooking oil, cartons of Cerelac baby food, a variety of baby milk products and other items including Milo, milk, soap, fruit drinks, biscuits, and toiletries.
Madam Sharon Abbey, Manageress of the Home thanked the church for the donation and said the items would be sorted out and categorized before storage to determine their quantity.
Pastor Chief Mensah, Leader of the church said apart from preaching the gospel, the church also believed that giving alms to the needy was important to ensure their total development and their upkeep.
He said the church would soon build a home to take care of some of the orphans in the society.
He called on Ghanaians not forsake the needy adding that they all represented God's image and must be assisted.
