The Saviour Church of Ghana (SCG) is constructing a hospital at its headquarters at Osiem near Tafo in the Eastern Region, to cater for the health needs of people.
Mr Alex Asante-Yeboah, Projects Co-ordinator of the church, who conducted newsmen round the project site, said the first phase have been completed at an estimated cost of GH¢500,000 and would soon be inaugurated.
He said it comprises X-Ray, Maternity, Orthopaedic, Scan, Pharmacy, Out-Patient Department and Laboratory and other units.
Mr Asante-Yeboah said work on the second phase, had taken off and due for completion in two years.
The Projects Co-ordinator said members of the church were offering voluntary labour for the project, which had helped to reduce cost.
Mr Asante-Yeboah said apart from providing the spiritual needs of the people, the church was equally concerned with their physical well-being.
He appealed to people within the community to patronize the services of the hospital in order to lead quality and healthy lives.
