Mr. Paul E. Aidoo, Western Regional Minister, has advised security personnel to avoid intimidating civilians or turn themselves into debt collectors.
He asked them to be vigilant, loyal to government and respect rules and regulations of their profession.
Mr Aidoo gave the advise at the passing out parade of 99 Ordinary Seaman, who underwent naval training, at Sekondi on Friday.
He urged security personnel to work hard and collaborate with the public to enable them to contribute meaningfully to national development, adding that team work and willingness to excel should also be their hallmark.
Mr Aidoo asked security personnel to avoid seeking personal interest, saying "Your new skills should inspire you to strive to achieve more to improve your self and the society in which you live".
Ennin John Paul, emerged the all best recuit, Joshua Akomani the best in academic work, William Koranteng best in weapons and military studies went to Ndego Ahmed.
The parade was under the command of Chief Petty Officer class One William Koranteng.
