The CMA CGM Corporate Foundation takes action for Africa with the launch of its first major humanitarian transport operation, alongside Action contre la Faim (ACF)/Action Against Hunger and Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) / Doctors Without Borders.
Mrs Naïla Saadé, President of the CMA CGM Foundation, will officially launch the "Containers of Hope" operation, attended by M. Jacques R. Saadé, Chief Executive Officer of the CMA CGM Group, M. François Danel, Managing Director of ACF and M. Filipe Ribeiro, Managing Director of MSF.
To symbolize this launching, a container combining the colors of the operation will be revealed in front of the CMA CGM Tower in Marseille, at the corporate headquarters.
This operation named "Containers of Hope" will consist in carrying a hundred containers with humanitarian aid material through vessels and shipping lines of the CMA CGM Group. The material will be shipped in containers to the various food and health aid programs run by two world-renowned NGOs, Action Against Hunger (ACF) and Doctors Without Borders (MSF) in many countries like Somalia, the Central African Republic, Liberia and Congo-Brazzaville.
