Congratulations to Ghana by François Hollande the President of the Republic of France regarding the sixtieth anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Ghana
****************
‘’ Your Excellency,
On the occasion of Ghana’s Independence Day celebration, it is my pleasure to convey my warmest wishes to you and to the Ghanaian people, given that this year marks the sixtieth anniversary of the Independence of your beautiful country.
Ghana began her journey of independence long before many other African countries, and even today continues to flourish as an embodiment of democracy and progress. The success of your recently held elections is a testament to this fact.
France, which was one of the first nations to recognize the sovereignty of Ghana, is pleased with the steady progress of our bilateral relations during these sixty years. It is my wish that the ties of friendship and cooperation that unite us would be further strengthened.
May our political, economic and cultural relations continue to promote the development of closer ties between our peoples, as was recently illustrated with the opening of a new direct flight route between Paris and Accra.
Yours faithfully,’’
François HOLLANDE
The President of the French Republic HE François Hollande and the President of the Republic of Ghana HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo
