Mr Samuel Opoku, an Aspiring Assembly Member of the Nkawie-Panin electoral area in the Atwima-Nwabiagya South Municipality, has called for greater unity among all the tribal groups in the community to promote speedy development.
He said unity in diversity was important for community mobilisation and effective participation of all in the development process.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview, he said he was ready to bring all the people together to forge a common development agenda to raise the living conditions of the people in the area.
Mr Opoku said bad roads and poor drainage systems, were causing severe flooding in the community during downpours were the two major challenges facing the people in the community.
There was therefore the need for a concerted efforts by all to help address these challenges.
He said if given the nod, he would mobilise the youth to take advantage of the various interventions being implemented by the government to improve their income status and raise their standards of living.
