The UK government is holding talks with Denmark over whether they could share a processing facility for asylum seekers in a third country, the London Times newspaper reports (paywall).
Earlier this month, Denmark passed a law allowing for this to happen and there were reports that one of the country's considered for hosting potential asylum seekers was Rwanda.
In May, two Danish ministers travelled to Rwanda to discuss asylum and migration.
“We’ve had conversations to see what the Danes are doing,” a UK government source is quoted by the Times as saying.
There have been reports in the past that Rwanda hosted African migrants who have been flown out of Israel.
