Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has projected that former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win 14 out of the 16 regions in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries scheduled for Saturday, January 31.
He further predicted a decisive victory for Dr. Bawumia in the Ashanti Region, the party’s stronghold.
Speaking on Channel One TV’s The Point of View with Bernard Avle on Wednesday, January 28, Mussa Dankwah said, “Yes, [Bawumia will win in 14 regions out of 16 regions].”
Mussa Dankwah said all available data points to a clear victory for the former Vice President.
“All the areas we have looked at are pointing in one direction, and that direction is that Bawumia will win this Saturday’s election one-touch,” he stated.
According to Mussa Dankwah, Global InfoAnalytics’ model projects Dr. Bawumia’s vote share at between 54 and 60 per cent, factoring in a three per cent margin of error.
“Based on our model, his lowest score will be 54 percent, which is the 57 per cent we are giving him minus the three percent margin of error, or he could get up to 60 percent,” he explained.
He attributed the confidence in the projection to the stability of the data. “I am very confident in Bawumia’s numbers because they are more stable in terms of variability. There is no noise in the data,” he added.
Mussa Dankwah noted that while other contenders, including Dr. Bryan Acheampong and Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, may improve their performance, how they share votes among themselves remains uncertain.
The NPP 2026 Presidential Primaries Prediction Survey was conducted between January 20 and January 23, 2026, using a nationwide sample size of 10,133 respondents. The survey covered all 16 regions and 272 constituencies across the country.
