Members of the Upper East Youth Association have expressed their profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for nominating Dr Ephraim Avea Nsoh as the Minister designate for the Region.
The Association in a release signed by its Public Relations Officer, Mr Evans Dinko, said they were also happy with the President's appointment for Mark Woyongo, the former Regional Minister, as Minister for Defense; Mr Mahama Ayariga, as Minister for Information, Mr Alhassan Azong, as Minister of State at the Presidency and Dr Raymond Atuguba, as Executive Secretary.
"We promise His Excellency that we will give them our unflinching support and also play an effective watchdog role in ensuring that all departments and agencies under them perform their mandates effectively and efficiently. "
The release explained that as a matter of fact Dr Avea had over the years dedicated a greater part of his life to the society and had often seen education, health and sanitation as some of the surest and most effective tools of not only fighting poverty but improving the quality of life of a people.
It noted that he would bring his rich experiences to bear in the Region which would accelerate the development of the area
