Mr Osman Bin Abdullah, Registration Officer for Apegya-Ahenema Electoral Polling Station at Asikuma in the Central Region, has described the voter registration exercise in the area as encouraging.
"Turnout is encouraging," he told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview.
Mr Abdullah said the massive public turnout was due to the publicity undertaken by Hope FM, a local radio station at Asikuma.
A survey by the GNA at Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District revealed massive public interest in the exercise.
At Ekumfi Electoral Area, Mr Patrick Oseku-Baah, the Registration Officer said the exercise had been smooth without any challenges.
