Five Thais released by Cambodian government already arrived at international Suvarnabhumi Airport at 05:00 p.m. local time Saturday.
Five of them include Thai Democratic Party lawmaker Panich Vikitsreth, Samdin Lersbusya, secretary for the Heaven and Earth Party, Kochpontorn Chusanaseree, assistant to Panich, Taynae Moongmachon, pressperson and Ms. Naruemol Chitwaratana, house keeper.
Escorted by officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they got on a van arranged by the ministry and left without answering reporters' questions.
Five of the seven arrested Thais for illegal entry have been sentenced to nine months each in jail and fined 1 million riels ( 250 U.S. dollars) each, but the jailed term is suspended, announced presiding judge Suos Sam Ath on Friday evening after almost an eight-hour trial at the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.
