The Boston Celtics continue to impress as they maintain a hot streak. They notched their 13th consecutive win Tuesday night in Brooklyn where they defeated the Nets in a thrilling matchup.
Celtics take Brooklyn
The Boston Celtics were just too good for their hosts as they beat the Brooklyn Nets 109-102. Kyrie Irving, who played with a protective mast put up 25 points and dished five assists, Marcus Morris had a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double, Al Horford also had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while rookie Jayson Tatum finished with 19 points and four rebounds.
The Nets were led by Joe Harris with 19 points and four rebounds, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson had 16 points and nine rebounds, Allen Crabbe and Caris LeVert combined for 30 with 15 points each and Spencer Dinwiddie had a 12-point, 11-assist double-double.
Raptors down Rockets
The Toronto Raptors were victorious in Houston and defeated the Rockets 129-113. DeMar DeRozan had 27 points, six rebounds and five assists, Kyle Lowry had a 19-point, 10-assist double-double, CJ Miles had 19 points and Nigerian rookie OG Anunoby ended the game with 16 points.
James Harden led the Rockets with a 38-point, 11-assist double-double, Trevor Ariza had 20 points and eight rebounds, Tarik Black had 13 points and seven rebounds, while Clint Capela ended the night with an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double.
Spurs trample Mavericks
It was a night of road wins as the San Antonio Spurs travelled to Dallas and beat the Mavericks 97-91 on the back of LaMarcus Aldridge’s 32 points, five rebounds and four assists, Patty Mills had 19 points and four steals, Manu Ginobili had 13 points, and Dejounte Murray had 10 points and seven rebounds.
The Mavs were led by Dennis Smith Jr with 27 points and six rebounds, Harrison Barnes had 16 points and eight rebounds, JJ Barea also had 16 points with six rebounds and four assists, while Dirk Nowitzki and Wesley Matthews combined for 24 with 12 points apiece.
