Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Charles Domanban, Madina Divisional Police Commander, has called on resident associations in the country to form watchdog committees in their communities. He said the formation of such committees would help the police to combat crime.
ACP Domanban made the call at the end of a Health Walk organized by the No.1 Ritz Junction Residents Association at Madina in Accra. The five-kilometre walk, which started from the Madina Ritz Junction to the Adenta Barrier through Madina, ended at the starting point.
ACP Domanban said the police administration would not tolerate lawlessness in the country and urged the people of the area to be law abiding. He advised them to work in peace and in unity so that they could develop their communities.
Mr Rashid Osei Bonsu, Assemblyman for Adenta West urged them to initiate their own development projects in order to receive government’s support.
Mr Daniel Kissi Adjabeng, Leader and Founder of the Association said the association would do everything possible to ensure the development of the community. The association, after the walk, undertook a three-hour clean-up exercise in the community.
