Goalkeeper: Manchester City had scored 58 home goals in the Premier League before Sunday's clash against Huddersfield, but then Jonas Lossl pitched up between the sticks at the Etihad. The Terriers keeper made some vital stops to keep City at bay, earning Steve Nicol's praise and a place in Team of the Weekend. Huddersfield are the only side to keep a clean sheet away to the champions this season, gaining a precious point to boost their survival bid.
Defence: After a tough night in Madrid on Thursday, Hector Bellerin responded with two assists as Arsenal thrashed Burnley 5-0 in Arsene Wenger's final home game in charge. The full-back has been linked with a move away from the Emirates in the summer, but in this sort of form the Gunners will be desperate to keep him.
Defence: Imposing Egypt international Ahmed Hegazi proved his quality once again in the West Brom defence with an assured display to keep Harry Kane & Co. quiet. "No way should this guy be in the Championship next year," says Gabriele Marcotti. There's still hope for West Brom that Hegazi won't be, along with the rest of the Baggies squad, with all eyes now on Tuesday's clash between Swansea and Southampton.
Defence: With only 11 appearances to his name, Terence Kongolo is still a relative Premier League rookie, but his efforts to silence Manchester City's attack didn't go unnoticed by the Team of the Weekend panel. The young Dutch defender was part of a resolute Terriers rearguard that battled to a 0-0 draw ahead of another tough test against Chelsea on Wednesday.
Defence: Patrick van Aanholt showed plenty of class with his tweet after Crystal Palace's victory at Stoke, saying he wished his goal hadn't played a part in relegating the Potters. Stoke responded expressing their gratitude for Van Aanholt's kind words, and Nicol includes the full-back in his Team of the Weekend following his role in another impressive result for the Eagles.
Midfield: Rafa Benitez lambasted his Newcastle team for their first-half performance at Watford, but that shouldn't take any of the credit away from Roberto Pereyra. The former Juventus man was a unanimous selection for Team of the Weekend, scoring one and setting up another to lift the Hornets within touching distance of the top half.

Midfield: "Sets up the equaliser, but more importantly shows presence, intelligence and physicality to just the right degree," says Marcotti of Ruben Loftus-Cheek's all-action display for Crystal Palace. Loftus-Cheek made a telling contribution in the 2-1 win that relegated Stoke, perhaps giving England boss Gareth Southgate food for thought before he names his World Cup squad.
Midfield: "He was everywhere," says Nicol of Aaron Mooy's role in Huddersfield's gutsy draw away to City. After leaving City for the Terriers on a permanent deal last summer -- having never made an appearance for them -- he returned to haunt them on Sunday, denying Pep Guardiola's side the chance to close in on the 100-point mark.
Midfield: What a signing Pascal Gross has been for Brighton. After joining the Seagulls for just £3m from Ingolstadt, the German midfielder has claimed seven goals and eight assists during his first season in England. Having a direct involvement in 45 percent of Brighton's 33 Premier league goals -- including scoring the winner against Manchester United on Friday -- it's difficult to argue with Marcotti's assertion that without him, Brighton would be down.

Attack: Former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud scored the winner for Chelsea to put pressure on Liverpool in the race for the top four, but it was Gunners duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette that squeezed into Team of the Weekend. Aubameyang opened the scoring against Burnley, set up another for Alex Iwobi, and rounded off the result late on to bring cheer to Arsene Wenger on his last game at the Emirates Stadium. And as for his strike partner...
Attack: Alexandre Lacazette set up Aubameyang's early goal with a drilled low cross and added his eighth strike in nine matches to give Arsenal a convincing half-time lead. The Gunners pair impressed the Team of the Weekend panel, and whoever replaces Wenger should be encouraged by the firepower at their disposal.

Manager: It was a close race between David Wagner and Darren Moore for the weekend's top manager, but the latter edges it for keeping West Brom alive for another round of fixtures. The Great Escape is still on at the Hawthorns.
